Pastor Jeffrey A. Simms, a visionary leader for New Vester Missionary Baptist Church, Sims North Carolina has served as Pastor since 2001. Born and raised in Lucama, Pastor Simms is the father of two sons, Micah and Nicholas. He Is a graduate of James B. Hunt high school, a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a B. A. in Public Policy and a M.S.P.H in Health Policy and Administration. He received his Master of Divinity from Duke University, Durham North Carolina. Pastor Simms, a leader not only in the pulpit but a leader in the community and workforce as well. He was presented with the 2016 American College of Healthcare Executives’ Higher Education Network Regent’s award from the NC Hospital Association in Cary, NC. Pastor Simms preaches and teaches the gospel of Jesus Christ. A man of great passion for people he encourages others to do the will of God. His outlook for his congregation: “Be confident of this one thing, that He who has begun a good work in you is able to complete it until the coming of Jesus Christ.”
